Dr. Lindsey’s NIH-funded research focuses on the impact of estrogens in cardiometabolic disease using animal models and innovative techniques. She serves as a mentor in the BIRCWH Program and is the Co-Director of the Cardiometabolic Core for an NIH-NIA Project Program Grant. Dr. Lindsey lectures on sex hormones, hormone receptor pharmacology, and sex differences in physiology and disease, and is course director for Endocrine Pharmacology, where she utilizes innovative teaching techniques, including clicker questions and self-directed learning. Dr. Lindsey piloted the initial phase of the new Tulane-sponsored Center of Excellence in Sex-Based Precision Medicine (CESPM) Enrichment Program with an SPM curriculum in 2021, which she will expand with the COBRE-SPM.
